3/28/2013- JonAnn

I.can’t.stop.eating! All I’ve wanted to do lately is eat and sleep- my two favorite past times. So I am definitely looking forward to today! I am out this “b” come 2:00 to start my Easter weekend. My son’s Easter party is today and I always volunteer to help with these parties, not only because I love watching the kids but because of the array of treats the parents bring! Lol. He went to school with his button up and Spiderman basket in hand ready to notify the Easter Bunny what he needs. He said he is going to tell him he needs “candy, quarters, tattoos, and puzzles”. Hah! JonAnn is going to come surprise him at school too. If you don’t know JonAnn, well she… is my mother. Some of these 3 year olds are almost her size. We think she might hit a growth spurt soon. My mom is the typical blonde, but it’s not natural. Once she left the TV on for a whole week because she thought it was broken…not once checking the remote to see if it was the batteries or walking up to the TV to try turning it off by pushing the buttons. Bless her heart. Haha. She is great, though it’s shocking to think that she raised 3 amazing girls, thank goodness for our Tita (dad's mom)!

I will be doing a lot of cooking this weekend, so come visit for some scrumptious recipes and pictures!

3/27/2013- Weekend Ready

I’m sure I’m not the only one that is ready for the weekend. It hasn’t even been a bad week; actually it’s been a fantastic week! I’ve been in the financial industry for about 4 years now. I just started with one of the top companies in Houston back in February. It’s been far from easy to get in the door and then out of the “bull pen” but it has definitely been a learning experience, to say the least! I have hit every quota they’ve set and all my personal goals so yesterday I was promoted to a cubical and will finally start getting my salary! Hoorah! I couldn’t ask for a better company to work for! The people are amazing and I am able to be independent (the only way I can accomplish anything is on my terms- what can I say?...I’m an Aquarius). At first I wasn’t sure about taking this position but I prayed and God answered. You won’t get anywhere without taking chances!

3/26/2013- Where Do I Start?

Let me start out by saying- “to be a fly on the wall in our household”… there is really never a dull moment with a house full of boys! Not only do I have a very independent 3 year old learning to potty train, but I have a husband who acts like a 3 year old, oh and we have a roommate (in our 3 bedroom condo) who acts like a 21 year old! And when I say my husband acts like a kid I literally mean I've had kids knock on our door asking if "Jeff could come out and play". Haha. Luckily the guys work out of town a lot so I do get my breaks from time to time, but I’ve had a full house for the past month! On top of the chaos, mess, yelling, ruff housing etc.  I’ve been super stressed because I’ve been keeping a big secret for a few weeks and I suck at keeping secrets! Soooo I have decided to get out of town for the weekend to avoid seeing anyone I might slip to. Jeff (my husband) and I are taking a little trip to Galveston this weekend. Gotta love Texas- Easter on the beach! Cannot wait for sandy toes and salty kisses!
